Course Content
climbing as a two-person rope team - function and communication
constructing belay anchors properly and safely
belaying partner from above: with and without a belay device
rope management
rappelling
emergency situations — partner assistance, dropped gear, retreating from route, etc.
planning evaluating multi-pitch climbs
equipment and material information
multi-pitch practice and training on two-pitch routes
climbing one of the many multi-pitch routes on Kalymnos or Telendos
The Multi-Pitch Basic Course takes you from single-pitch sport climbing to learning all the fundamental elements needed to climb multi-pitch sport routes with 110% confidence and security
Course Fee
€325,— per participant, maximum number of participants is 4
Additional Opportunities for Multi-Pitch Climbing
Multi-Pitch Guiding — lets you experience hassle-free ascents of an appropriately chosen route, thereby allowing you, or you and your partner, to focus on the approach, climb and descent with problem-free security
Options include the multiple routes on Kalymnos and Telendos ranging in difficulty from 5c to 6b+ and in length from 110 to 265 meters.
Guiding Fee
Costs range from €180,— to €300,— with a maximum of 2 participants, guiding fee is based on objective and number of participants
Supervised Multi-Pitch Training — Perhaps you and your partner want to climb one of the wonderful multi-pitch routes on Kalymnos or Telendos, yet there is a bit of nagging uncertainty. Supervised guiding allows that you and your partner climb the route of your dreams independently but with oversight so that every step is checked and if needed corrected to have absolute security and safety. This is a way to climb a multi-pitch route with supervision and the benefit of assistance when and if needed.
